BREAKFAST

SUKALDEAN BREAKFAST

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day beacuse it provides the energy and nutrients the body needs to start the day, and helps reorganize the metabolic changes that have occured during the night.

It is recommended to first consume FRUIT, either in its original form or as juice, for its contribution in water, fructose (fast absorbing carbohydrate), fibre, and in vitamins and minerals.

Secondly, it´s a good idea to consume DAIRY, in the form of yogurt, cheese, etc. The most important property of this food group is calcium, and proteins of high biological value. They also contain significant amounts of vitamins A, D, B12 and other minerals such as phosphorous.

Likewise, this group is usually accompained by GRAINS, in the form of flakes or bread. This group provides us with slowly absorbed carbohydrates, providing the energy that we need throughout the morning.

Lastly, breakfast can be completed with foods rich in protein, be it eggs or cold cuts and fatty foods such as nuts or extra virgin olive oil

A walk along La Concha

A typical thing to do in Donosti is to take a relaxing walk along la Concha beach.

A traditional breakfast with easy-to-digest foods for a leisurely day enjoying the surrondings.

Traditional fruits rich in vitamin C, such as orange; cured meat combined with low-maturing cheeses and cereals with no added sugar, create a perfect combination to complete a breakfast with a classic freshly made potato omelette.

HEALTHY BREAKFAST

Surfing Zurriola

For sports lovers there is nothing more pleasant than starting the day catching waves in the Zurriola. With that idea we have developed this option.

It offers a lighter option with protein rich foods and natural antioxidants.

Cereals alternative to the wheat and milk different to the whole milk. Vegetables and legumes that add to the traditional beakfast fruit. In this area will find gluten-free products they who don ́t want to include it in the diet. We also offer natural sweeteners such as honey, organic and locally produced, which also brings great benefits to our body. In short, a healthy option, different to the typical sweet breakfast.

FINGERFOOD BREAKFAST

Out for pintxos in the Old Part

As stated by the travel guide “Lonely Planet”, “going for pintxos” in San Sebastian is one of “the best gastronomic experiences in the world”. With that idea we have created this concept of breakfast. It is a differentiating element of our city and that is why we wanted to represent it in the first meal of the day.

This offer contains miniature preparations, to be tasted from the hand to the mouth, as in our bars.

It matters what we eat but also how we do. So that you can start the day in the cradle of miniature cuisine, we have thought of sweet fingerfood products, such as pastries, natural cakes, etc., to the traditional pintxos.

ENERGY BREAKFAST

Another visit that cannot miss is to go up to Igeldo by Funicular. Do you need a high input of energy to start the day?

We have thought of an important contribution of energy to face a day walking through the city.

Fruits that have a high content in vitamins and minerals. Nuts that are rich in essential fatty acids and dehydrated fruits that concentrate its nutrients in small bites. The eggs provide high biologic value protein and thanks to the complex carbohydrates of the cereals and potatoes, the blood glucose level could be constant.
